February 2016

I turn fifty this month, and although I can’t say I feel any different emotionally, physically it is obvious that the millions of miles traveled have taken their subtle toll. The small aches and pains are to be expected, but like the Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me,” and it is that very strength that is at work in me as we press into 2016. We have completed the Youthbytes app as of last week and it is in review process with Apple and Google. This will be a 52-week video devotional with accompanying written devotional, scripture and practical relevant prayer. Designed to be used daily or weekly, the content is sure to encourage, convict and empower all who engage it. We are also partnering with YouVersion, the Bible app company, to publish our Youthbtyes app in Mandarin. This is an exciting opportunity and it is scheduled to launch with them this summer. We are also finalizing this app in Spanish, Russian, Portuguese and Nepalese, and the exciting thing for me is that we are making it available for free! Beacuse of the faithfullness of God and you, our supporters, we are able to fund these projects and put the power of disicipleship in the hands of the those who desire to grow in their relationship with God. As soon as the English version is released I will send out an email and letter informing you of its availability in iTunes or the Google Play store. Please keep these last few details in prayer.

It is always an honor to be with Perry Stone. The TBN broadcast we recorded exposed the lies behind suicide.

It is always an honor to be with Perry Stone. The TBN broadcast we recorded exposed the lies behind suicide.

In February I had the opportunity to travel to Atlanta and be a guest on the TBN Praise the Lord program hosted by my friend Perry Stone. We had a great talk about teen suicide and the hidden motivations behind it. Along with other special guests, we exposed the lies of the enemy and encouarged teens and parents alike to speak words of life over a generation! We had some great response when the program aired last week. While there I also had the opportunity to be a part of a global leadership forum designed to talk about international strategies to disciple the nations. It was a candid and informative couple of days.

As you know, we went to Israel last year to produce four TV programs in and around Jerusalem. We will be finishing up the editing of these programs and preparing them not only for broadcast, but to be utilized in the app as well. We have had a lot of requests for Israel-based messages shot on location and they are almost done.

Max and I will be leaving for Brazil in the next two weeks for 14 days of ministry. Max has sharpened a unique gift in photography over the past couple of years and he will be documenting all that God is doing in this wonderful nation. He will be 18 this summer; it seems like it was only yesterday that he was a little boy crying as I left to go on another overseas adventure. I’m excited that in the past four years he has been able to see firsthand all that God is doing in the lives of people around the world. Rhett is recovering from his motorcycle accident last month and is anxious to get his cast off and continue his normal, active 15-year-old schedule. Shay is enjoying her position at the Children’s Assessment Center of San Bernardino. Her love and passion for children has never waned and I’m thrilled to see her walking in the grace God has given her!

Thanks again for your continued prayer and financial support.

We have finally completed the Youthbtye app! I’m excited to see it released next month in the iTunes app store and in the Google Play store. Once it is launched we will then launch the Spanish, Portuguese and Russian versions. I am thrilled to put this discipleship tool in the hands of those who need it most. When it hits the stores I will let you know! It is going to be FREE!
