“This imagery made the forest seem powerful and mysterious, almost as if it were a living entity, and I couldn’t hold back the morbid images I had seen while hurriedly researching this place. Images of bodies strewn across the forest floor forcibly filled my mind. Men and women in desperate situations, having no way out, choosing to travel to this nearly unplottable area to end their lives. I could almost feel their pain and hear their cries and whispers through those trees.
